Rivers State governor, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, to join his government to move the state forward.
This is as the governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the 2015 elections, Prince Tonye Princewill, insisted that the April 11, 2015 election, which brought in Wike was neither free nor fair.
Wike, in a statewide broadcast to the people of the state yesterday in Port Harcourt, said it was time for all parties to put their differences aside and help to move the state forward.
He said, “We salute Dr. Adol Dakuku Peterside, my friend and APC governorship candidate for his courage in fighting his course to the end. Now that the battle is over, the interest of Rivers State should be primary in our considerations and actions.
“It is our pleasure to invite Dr. Dakuku Peterside and the entire APC followership to join us in the work of actualising the aspirations of our people.”
